As part of the XtreemOS project, Kerlabs is proud to announce the availability of the second major release of XtreemOS.

The new release includes te following improvements:

Creation and management of dynamic virtual organizations
Application execution management (AEM) for large dynamic resources allocation.
XtreemFS distributed file system
XOSAGA programming interface
Xosautoconfig for easy deployment

Kerlabs joins XtreemOS

The overall objective of the XtreemOS project is the design, implementation, evaluation and distribution of an open source Grid operating system (called XtreemOS) with native support for virtual organizations (VO) and capable of running on a wide range of underlying platforms, from clusters to mobiles.

Machines into an XtreemOS grid may be desktop computers, handheld devices or clusters. The cluster part of XtreemOS, called LinuxSSI, is powered by the Kerrighed OS.

Kerlabs presence into the XtreemOS project aims at developing the integration between LinuxSSI and Kerrighed community.

Ter@tec 2009 report

The Ter@tec Forum 2009 was held on 30th June-01st July 2009 at Supélec campus at Gif-sur-Yvette, just outside of Paris, France.

Ter@tec is a major occasion of meetings, exchanges and reflection in the field of high performance simulation and computing at France.

We shared a booth with our distributor BoxCluster again.

It was a successful forum for exchange of good ideas for Kerlabs!

ISC'09 Kerlabs report

International Supercomputing Conference 2009 was held on 23rd-26th June, 2009 at the Congress Center in Hamburg, Germany.

ISC offers a platform for people who are interested in HPC, professional in HPC and personal exchanges of ideas and experiences.

For our 2nd venue at ISC, it was the opportunity to share a booth with our partner, BoxCluster.

It was a successful exhibition and great experiences for Kerlabs! Thank you very much for visiting our booth at ISC'09!

10th Libre Software Meeting

The LSM will take place between 7th July to 11 July 2009 in Nantes (France). During 5 days conferences, round tables, and workshops will be proposed to the visitors. For this occasion, Renaud Lottiaux will present you the last Kerrighed version (version 2.4). Different subjects such as the memory injection, automatic applications checkpointing and configurable scheduler will be treated by our CTO. Every one is welcome!
